Traces of the Inner Landscape
Painting, Photography, and the Spirit of Everyday Transcendence
TERAVARNA Art Gallery proudly presents Traces of the Inner Landscape, a solo exhibition by Indian multidisciplinary artist Anand Manchiraju. Rooted in a lifelong engagement with painting, photography, and experimental media, Manchiraju’s work explores the intersections of nature, spirituality, daily life, and the human figure. His practice reveals how inner perception and outer experience continuously shape one another across time and material.
Influenced by his artist father and formally trained at JNTU, Manchiraju has developed a practice defined by curiosity and sustained experimentation. His work moves fluidly between impressionistic and abstract modes, while his distinctive “photo-paintings” blur the boundaries between photography and painting. Using oils and acrylics alongside unconventional materials such as bromide paper and x-ray film, he employs photographic chemicals to create images that are tactile, atmospheric, and deeply introspective.
Throughout the exhibition, landscapes become emotional registers, figures dissolve into gesture, and everyday moments carry spiritual resonance. Anchored in painterly tradition yet continually evolving, Manchiraju’s work privileges presence over spectacle, inviting viewers to slow down and attend to subtle shifts of light, form, and feeling.
Traces of the Inner Landscape reflects both the evolution of Manchiraju’s vision and his broader artistic legacy, shaped by decades of prolific creation and cultural leadership in India. Running from December 31, 2025, the exhibition offers an intimate meditation on art as a practice of reflection, experimentation, and renewal. For more information, visit TERAVARNA Art Gallery.
