Bridges and Crossroads

The Art of Passage and Possibility

TERAVARNA Art Gallery proudly presents Bridges and Crossroads, a solo exhibition by American artist Peter Knapp, whose career has been shaped by resilience, reflection, and an unwavering devotion to creativity. This exhibition marks a pivotal chapter in Knapp’s journey, evolving from his earlier period of Healing, Awakening, Resolution (2018–2023) into a new phase that meditates on continuity, transformation, and choice.
Knapp’s work emerges from a profound engagement with nature and humanity’s place within it. The concept of “Bridges” in his art symbolizes progression—each piece connected to the next in an unbroken dialogue—while “Crossroads” reflects the moments of decision, tension, and possibility that shape both life and artistic practice. Through layered mixed media compositions, Knapp captures the balance between chaos and calm, despair and hope, despair and renewal, inviting viewers to consider their own journeys across thresholds both personal and universal.
This exhibition is also a story of perseverance. After decades of balancing artistic ambition with family and professional responsibilities—and overcoming significant health challenges—Knapp now devotes himself fully to painting. His works are not only acts of personal healing but also expansive meditations on the cycles of the world, from the turbulence of natural forces to the quiet promise of renewal.
Bridges and Crossroads is an exhibition of transitions: between illness and vitality, memory and imagination, order and chaos. It is a deeply human exploration of how art can serve as a conduit to peace, purpose, and transcendence.
Running from October 6, 2025, Bridges and Crossroads offers a moving testament to the power of creativity as both refuge and revelation. For more information, visit TERAVARNA Art Gallery.
