At TERAVARNA Marketplace, we ensure a seamless experience for both collectors and artists. This policy outlines the terms including artwork shipping, returns, and related responsibilities
1. Return Policy
Return Eligibility
Returns are accepted only under the following conditions:
- The artwork is received in a physically damaged condition, or
- The artwork is significantly different from the displayed image or described standard on the marketplace.
- The return is initiated within 14 days of the delivery.
Returns will not be accepted for:
- Impulsive decision or change of mind
- Personal preference
Proof Requirement
To initiate a return request, buyers must provide valid supporting evidence, including:
- Clear photographs of the damaged artwork
- Images of the packaging (if damaged)
- Unboxing photos (where possible)
- Video clips showing the damage or defect
Return claims without adequate documentation may not be approved.
Transportation Costs Related to Return Shipping
If the return claim is verified and approved
- TERAVARNA will review the process to ensure the issue is resolved, and that buyers are not burdened with return shipping costs.
If the claim is:
- Unsubstantiated, or not approved after review, then the buyer/collector will bear the return shipping cost.
Return Packaging & Condition
Approved returns must meet the following conditions:
- Artwork must be securely repackaged in protective packaging
- Shipment must be arranged within the approved return timeframe of 14 days
- Improper packaging leading to further damage may void the return/refund eligibility
2. Shipping Policy
Shipping on TERAVARNA Marketplace will be eligible for Domestic as well as International shipping.
Domestic Shipping
Domestic shipping applies when the artist and buyer are located within the same country.
If both the artist and the collector reside within the USA:
- TERAVARNA will cover shipping expenses exceeding up to USD $200 (where applicable) for artworks priced above USD $1000.
- TERAVARNA will assist in coordinating logistics where applicable.
International Shipping
International shipping applies when the artist and buyer are based in different countries.
In such cases:
- Shipping and transportation costs will be borne by the buyer/collector.
- Charges vary depending on destination, size, weight, and logistics provider rates.
Customs Duties & Import Charges
For international shipments:
Import duties, taxes, VAT, and country-specific levies will be incurred by buyer/collector.
These charges are country and region-specific.
Failure to pay applicable duties may result in delays or returns, for which TERAVARNA will not be liable.
Packaging & Transit Safety
- Artists are responsible for professionally packaging artworks to ensure safe transit.
- Shipping insurance may be included where applicable.
- While pricing artworks, artists must also allow for separate mention of transportation and shipping charges (applicable to the destination).
- TERAVARNA will facilitate coordination in the event of transit damage claims.
General Terms
- Shipping timelines are estimates and may vary due to logistics or customs processes.
- Buyers will receive shipment tracking details once dispatched.
- TERAVARNA operates as a marketplace facilitator between artists, collectors, and shipping partners.
