Albina N Labutina (Titova)
Born in Moscow in 1962, Albina N. Titova is a Russian-American mixed-media artist now based in Charlotte, North Carolina, after more than two decades in Phoenix. Her artistic journey began in childhood, culminating in three years of formal art school, before a long hiatus that ended during the COVID era of the early 2020s. Working across abstract, mixed-media, 3D, and genre painting, she combines canvas, fabric, and texture paste to explore the contrast between soft textiles and raw dimensional relief. Guided by color, composition, and rhythm, her layered pieces invite viewers to pause and notice subtle details as they emerge. Rather than direct representation, her work sparks imagination through visual narratives drawn from her inner world and travels.
