Brent Cooke

A Vancouver-based sculptor and former marine biologist, Brent Cooke translates over sixty years of 3D artistry into life-size bronze works that capture the kinetic energy of the natural world. His sculptures are renowned for their intricate realism and use of negative space, masterfully portraying the “frozen dynamic” of predatory birds in mid-chase or marine life in fluid motion. A recipient of the Robert Bateman Award and an International Fellow of the Explorers Club, Brent crafts each piece to tell a visual story, inviting viewers to experience a tactile connection with wildlife while fostering a deep-seated commitment to global conservation.
His sculptures are featured in galleries across North America, the Middle East, and China. Beyond art, he is a director at Artists for Conservation and the Deeley Motorcycle Exhibition. Through his work, Brent invites viewers to experience nature’s untamed beauty in tactile, lifelike form.
