Burak Sahin

Burak Sahin is a deeply instinctive artist whose work centers on the aesthetics of motion and visual storytelling, rendered through pencil on paper. Drawing on his background in engineering and classical animation, his practice is defined by the inside-out method — building compositions from internal structural logic outward — paired with a precise understanding of physical forces acting on the body. He draws entirely from memory, a discipline he treats as drawing from understanding rather than copying, producing an interpretive vitality that reference-dependent work rarely achieves. His figures exist in moments of concentrated effort and purposeful action, each image loaded with enough directional energy to make the viewer feel the movement within the stillness of the drawn mark.
