Diana Kemp is a US-based mixed media artist whose creative life began without warning in March 2024, when an internal voice arrived and refused to be ignored. A writer for decades across screenplays and books, she had no prior experience in visual art—yet she surrendered to the impulse, stretched her first canvas, and never stopped. She now lives surrounded by 125 canvases and counting. Working instinctively across paint, texture, and layered surfaces, her process resembles automatic writing—each canvas following its own logic rather than a predetermined plan. Her subject matter ranges freely across mythology, nature, and abstraction, reflecting a curiosity that resists a single lane. She paints not from readiness, but from a calling that arrived late and has been making up for lost time ever since.
