Juan Jose Padilla is an artist from Southern California’s Imperial Valley whose work brings visual storytelling and graphic design into a single language. His practice moves between figurative art and design systems, building sequences where meaning shifts through placement, scale, and contrast. His series Get This Feeling Out, or GTFO, follows a central figure through an emotional experience that opens in anticipation and closes in reflection. Drawing on illustrated narratives, the visual translation of music, and theatrical staging, he treats each composition as one part of a broader designed whole.
