Marek Herburt

Marek Herburt paints the flora and landscapes of Australia with a colorist’s eye trained at the Łódź Academy of Arts. Guided by the principles of opposition and contrast, he lets neighboring hues strengthen one another, while warm and cool tones carry the eye from the foreground into the distance. His paintings are interpretations rather than records, shaped by close observation, a deep knowledge of color, and intuition. Each one carries the vitality he finds in the Australian landscape and his wish to share its beauty with others.
