Sheree Ross
Sheree Ross is a Brisbane-based Australian artist known for intuitive, emotionally driven portraiture, alongside explorations of wildlife and the underwater world. Self-taught, she painted her first portrait at sixteen and later refined her craft through years of travel. In 2010, she joined the Royal Queensland Art Society and won the Encouragement Award, followed by an honorable mention in the 2014 Portraits in Time competition. A chronic illness limited her output for years, but after restoring her health, she returned to the studio and recently earned gold and silver awards in online competitions. Sheree’s intuitive approach lets each painting evolve organically, capturing the essence and spirit of her subjects. She believes art should invite viewers to pause and connect, creating works that reveal new meaning over time.
